My Background
The whole of my life has been engaged in the love of art and I have been painting since I could hold a brush. I am a formally trained painter with a First Class Honours Degree in Painting and Sculpture and a Masters Distinction in Fine Art.

My Background
I use a range of mediums in my work and the paintings are often made using many layers. These layers seem to find a way to communicate a certain feeling. I often make a painting without looking at any image but instead I find that the oils, acrylics and pastels all combine to reveal some truth about what I have seen and felt.

I have always been completely fascinated by what happens when paint is put onto a surface - that energy, fluid movement and emotion that is transferred through the hand onto the canvas through the body.
